What You Need To Know About Hearing Aid Batteries
Keep your batteries in their unopened packaging until you are ready to use them. If you remove the label, they will begin to discharge and will run out in about 4 weeks, even if you do not use your hearing aid at all during this time.
Store your batteries in a cool, dry place out of the reach of children and pets; batteries are dangerous if swallowed. When you are not using your hearing aid, open the battery drawer to prevent it from consuming power.
When you need to replace the battery with a new battery, remove the label and let the battery “breathe” for 60 seconds before placing it in your hearing aid. Replace your hearing aid battery in a flat, tidy place over a soft surface. A kitchen table covered with a tablecloth works well.
